Telangana
In Telangana the instrument is a Rent Agreement (Lease Deed), the parties are called Lessor and Lessee, and the tenancy is read against the Telangana Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960.
How the cost is worked out
For a lease of up to 5 years, stamp duty is 0.5% of (total rent for the term + the security deposit).
Minimum stamp duty: ₹100
